Case 14421
This young lady worked very hard to lose weight. She lost well over 100 pounds. She had excess skin causing discomfort, problems wearing clothing, and infection.
Dr. Anzarut performed a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty procedure. She is now nine months from her surgery and is pleased with the outcome.
Tummy tuck surgery is not a weight loss procedure. The ideal patient has already lost weight and now has laxity of the skin (and muscles) from previous weight gain or pregnancy.
Case 16472
Tummy tuck (aka abdominoplasty) and liposuction can remove excess skin, excess external fat, and tighten the stomach muscles. This can provide a slimmed and youthful appearance to the abdomen. It is important to remember these are not weight loss procedures. Patients should have a BMI less than 30 and be non-smokers. This young mother is pleased with her result.
Case 3
What is an abdominoplasty ?
Abdominoplasty is one of Dr. Anzarut’s most common surgeries. This procedure is also known as a tummy tuck. Excess abdominal skin may be a a result of massive weight loss or secondary to pregnancy. Once the lower abdominal skin is stretched it may loose its ability to recoil. Surgery can be used to remove excess skin, stretch marks and fat. It may also tighten and repair the stretched rectus muscles.
